600 Hour Nine Month Massage Training Program

Successful completion of this course is designed to prepare students for the (MBLEx) Massage and Bodywork Licensure Examination, and fulfill the State of Utah's educational requirements for Licensure as a Massage Therapist


The curriculum for Soma School of Massage, has been reviewed and approved by DOPL the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing for the State of Utah and is registered under the Utah Postsecondary Proprietary School Act (Title 13 Chapter 34, Utah Code). Registration under the Utah Postsecondary Proprietary School Act  does not mean the State of Utah supervises, recommends, nor accredits the school. It is the students responsibility to determine whether credits, or certificates will transfer to other institutions or meet employers' educational requirements. 

Soma School of Massage is not accredited by a regional or national accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education

Students will be responsible for purchasing their own books and supplies through available vendors of their choice, or ordered through school vendors.

Payment Plans

Payment plans are for tuition only. Equipment and supplies can be purchased separately by student or ordered through school vendors. Please select payment plan:

Payment Plan Options
A. Monthly Payment
$950.00 is due and to be paid on the first day of each month for nine consecutive months.
Balance owing of $950 at course completion.

B. Quarterly Payments
$2,375.00 is due and to be paid on the first day of each quarter. A quarter equal’s ten
weeks. This massage program consists of four quarters

C. One half program installment of two payments.
$4750.00 is due and to be paid prior to the start date at the beginning of the course.
The second payment of $4750.00 is due on the first day of the fifth month into the course.

D. Deferred payment plans: A deferred plan may be set up on monthly payments of $525.00
throughout the program until completion of the course at which time a balloon payment
for the remaining $4775.00 will be due. Students must apply and exhaust all other resources
before applying for deferment & must meet with a member of the administrative staff for
financial approval. If a students take longer than ten months to complete the course’s
maximum time frame (as no more the 150% of normal program length in weeks), as long as
the student is current with monthly payments, the deferred amount will be extended and
monthly payments will be continued. The balloon payment of amount owing at the time of
course completions will be due. Any monies in arrears at this time will be charged an interest
rate for the unpaid balance of 18% interest APR.

E. Other financial sources
Students may qualify for other loan programs from the financial institution of their choice.
Students may also qualify for financial assistance through Soma’s deferred payment program
If unable to qualify for a student loan. Students must apply and exhaust all other resources
before applying for deferment & must meet with a member of the administrative staff for
financial approval.

Admission Qualifications

Admission Requirements:

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or Standardized Ability to Benefit Test (ABT) results
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Current photo I.D. (e.g., driver's license)
  • Completed enrollment agreement
  • $75.00 registration fee

Admission Procedures:

  1. Submit completed application form 
  2. Pay registration fee
  3. Provide proof of education (high school diploma, G.E.D., ABT, or post-secondary transcript)
  4. Upon acceptance, submit photo ID

Registration Fees:

A $75.00 registration fee is required upon registration. This fee is refundable if cancelled within three business days. After three days but before the program start date, all monies will be returned minus the registration fee.
